WHAT: Press Conference with leading reproductive and women’s rights organizations and clinic providers

A group of leading reproductive and women’s rights organizations and women’s health clinic providers held a press conference Tuesday to discuss Supreme Court nominee John Roberts’ involvement in the Bray v. Alexandria Women’s Health Clinic case in 1991 and 1992. Roberts argued in front of the Supreme Court on behalf of the Federal Government, siding with Operation Rescue and individuals using violence and or intimidation at women’s health clinics.
Shelley Pacheco from Eastside Women's Health in Olympia, WA and Susan Hill, President of the National Women's Health Organization participated in the event. Both women were involved with clinics that were targeted for violence.
The organizations involved include: Black Women’s Health Imperative; Center for Reproductive Rights; Feminist Majority; NARAL Pro-Choice America; National Abortion Federation; National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association; National Partnership for Women & Families; National Women’s Law Center; Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc.
