The Role: 

 
The Manager, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for owning and managing the full recruitment life cycle for various positions at different levels within the organization. Responsibilities will include serving as a talent partner to hiring managers to identify organizational hiring needs proactively. They will develop and execute recruitment strategies to network and hire the most qualified candidates, manage candidates through the interview process, measure and optimize various recruitment programs, and act as primary contact for recruitment systems, tools, and processes. This position reports to the Director of Talent & Organizational Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process for various positions including recruitment strategy, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer proposals and onboarding.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, including collaborating to understand the needs of each position, drafting job descriptions, and developing a plan for successfully sourcing qualified candidates for each position.
  • Support hiring managers in identifying interview evaluation criteria and competencies; establish and maintain a consistent and valid candidate assessment process.
  • Create innovative sourcing strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool for assigned positions by sourcing passive candidates, networking, conducting complex internet searches, internal databases, and employee referrals.
  • Lead efforts to build a robust pipeline of diverse talent by researching and identifying new diversity recruitment tools and candidate sources to advance the organization's diversity recruiting efforts.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and ongoing relationship management, anticipating role fit and future openings.
  • Coach managers on behavioral interviewing and candidate selection.
  • Manage candidate engagement, maintain responsive communication to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Work with hiring managers and HR colleagues to ensure seamless onboarding of new staff. 
    Take the lead in training team members in innovative sourcing techniques and recruitment best practices.
  • Report competitive market intelligence on hiring statistics. Develop and analyze reports and projections regarding market trends in diversity, legal recruiting, and retention.
  • Leverage best practices and data-driven processes to continuously improve the Center's Talent Acquisition process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key agency contacts.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends and applicable laws related to employment and staffing.
  • Perform other related projects as necessary including backup to other recruiting team members.

Required Skills: 

  • Strong commitment to the Center's mission, purpose, and values.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years of experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle and managing high-volume recruiting; not-for-profit experience a plus;
  • Considerable knowledge and experience with sourcing, interviewing techniques and candidate assessments;
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities with strong follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain credibility and build relationships with Senior Management.
  • Demonstrated experience with applicant tracking system migration and defining new processes a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a staff with varying levels of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
