The Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Associate, Human Resources to implement a variety of human resources programs and initiatives. This is an exciting role for a resourceful and driven HR practitioner who is passionate about people. The role will report directly to the Global Human Resource Director and will serve as the primary operations point for the department. 

The Senior Associate will focus on operational support for the department and project support for key initiatives related to organizational development, and performance management. 


  • Execute global employee on-boarding and off-boarding by launching onboarding in the Center’s HRIS system, verification & tracking of employment documents, scheduling of orientation meetings and exit interviews 
  • Continuously work with the department to streamline processes and improve service delivery 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and provide support in standardizing the same across multiple departments and offices including providing clarification on subjects that may be misunderstood 
  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues for a global population of 200 plus staff 
  • Maintain and update human resources documents and the HR SharePoint site under supervision of the Global Human Resources Director 
  • Work closely with the HR team to lead a successful Summer Internship Program (coordinating orientation meetings, programming, intern events, evaluations, exit interviews etc.) 
  • Support the Fellowship program and spring and fall internship programs (coordinating orientation meetings, programming, intern events, evaluations, exit interviews etc.) 
  • Maintain the time-keeping for interns and fellows in support of the annual pro-bono evaluation 
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Center’s Alumni network 
  • Liaise with the Finance department, assist with the preparation of budgets, regularly support budget-related planning and monitoring and evaluation processes for Human Resources 
  • Monitor questions/requests sent to the HR mailboxes, respond promptly to routine questions, escalate to the appropriate HR team members as necessary 
  • Participate in all HR meetings 
  • Assist with other projects as assigned 



  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of HR Experience, 2 as a JR Generalist; global experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of HR standards, laws, and best practices. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, patience, diplomacy, appropriate assertiveness and a collegial and collaborative style 
  • Confidence, professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Experience with Replicon, PowerPlan, Greenhouse, Namely or Concur a plus. (Or absence tracking system, budgeting system and applicant tracking system).
