Carolina Escobar

Carolina Escobar, Communications Associate

Carolina joined the Center in 2017. She supports the press and digital team and oversees coordination of the department as a whole.

Carolina came from StoryCorps, where she was a national facilitator and community engagement associate. While at StoryCorps, Carolina recorded and archived over 300+ interviews across the U.S., as well as developed community partnerships for the organization with a focus on communities of color, the LGBTQ community, and people with disabilities. Before her work at StoryCorps, Carolina was a global programs assistant at the Center for International Understanding in Raleigh, NC, where she supported and designed educational travel programs.

Carolina received her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in international studies.

She is fluent in Spanish.
