Zoe Levine

Zoe Levine, Senior Staff Attorney

Zoe joined the Center in 2014 and works on a range of litigation actions. 

She joins us from The Bronx Defenders, where she was an Equal Justice Works Fellow and Immigration Attorney focusing on the intersection of criminal and immigration law and deportation defense litigation. She previously served as a law clerk to Judge Philip R. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and Judge Ronald M. Gould of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  Prior to law school, Zoe worked at Centro Las Libres, a reproductive rights organization in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Zoe graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she received the Jane L. Mixer Award for contributions to social justice and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for courtroom advocacy. Zoe was a contributing editor of the Michigan Law Review and a member of the Michigan Innocence Clinic.  She received her undergraduate degree in English from Columbia University.

Zoe is fluent in Spanish.
